Actor Prakash Raj has sparked massive controversy with his recent remarks on Lord Rama, drawing a fierce response from Jana Sena MLC Nagababu. The actor’s comments at a recent event have triggered nationwide backlash and multiple complaints across India.
What Prakash Raj Said About Lord Rama
During a recent event, Prakash Raj shared his interpretation of the Ramayana and the character of Lord Rama. He stated that Rama belonged to North India, while Ravana was part of a tribal community from South India—a comment many felt could provoke regional divisions.
He further claimed that the war between them began merely over the “theft of fruits,” a statement that deeply hurt the sentiments of devotees. The remarks quickly went viral, sparking widespread outrage on social media.
Nationwide Backlash and Legal Action
Several complaints have reportedly been filed against the actor in different parts of the country. The hashtag #BanPrakashRaj has been trending online, with thousands expressing their anger over what they view as disrespect toward Hindu beliefs.
This is not the first time Prakash Raj has faced controversy over religious commentary, with previous incidents also drawing public criticism.
Nagababu’s Strong Warning to Prakash Raj
Reacting strongly on X (formerly Twitter), Nagababu condemned Prakash Raj’s statements in no uncertain terms.
“Lord Sri Ram is not just a deity of one religion; he represents righteousness itself,” Nagababu wrote. “If someone thinks insulting Lord Rama is an act of bravery, it is nothing but arrogance and ignorance.”
He added, “Those who mock the name of Rama will only bring about their own downfall. They cannot harm Sanatana Dharma. History has shown what happens to those who stand against dharma, and the same fate awaits those who spread venom against Lord Rama.”
The Prakash Raj Nagababu clash has further intensified the debate, with the issue continuing to dominate discussions across social media platforms.
